Artist Statement

RenO works as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the Neurodiagnostic Lab at Rush University Medical Center.  His primary role is to find a seizure focus using SPECT imaging and a procedure called SISCOM.

His artwork explores stress, how we manage it, and how art can help identify its source and outcomes.  He has lived with arthritis since age 10, which led him down a path of creativity and inquiry that contrasts bright colors and whimsical line against his diagnosis and physical struggles. Through hand-drawn, hand-colored digital imagery, he creates colorful masterpieces with an edge and a buried visual story.
