Artist Statement

My paintings explore nature as a moving, internal force rather than a fixed landscape. I am drawn to organic rhythms—currents, growth patterns, and the quiet energy that flows beneath the surface of the natural world. These forms emerge through repetition and gesture, building layered networks that feel both fluid and rooted.

Working primarily with tonal shifts and restrained color, I allow line and texture to carry the work’s movement. The imagery hovers between abstraction and suggestion, evoking water, wind, roots, or breath without settling into a single interpretation. This ambiguity mirrors how nature is experienced: constantly changing, sensed more through feeling than definition.

My process is intuitive and accumulative. I follow the direction of each mark, allowing the painting to develop gradually, much like natural systems that grow through persistence rather than control. The finished work invites stillness and close looking, offering a space to slow down and reconnect with the quiet motion that exists within and around us.
