When I was diagnosed with epilepsy later in life, while my kids were young, it posed numerous challenges and limitations. Initially, it was tough to accept, but I eventually discovered ways to adapt. For those familiar with epilepsy, they understand that it can be a challenging journey with obstacles and setbacks along the way. Thankfully, with the assistance of skilled doctors and the appropriate medication, we were able to gain control over my seizures. Aside from my family and close friends, my art has always been there for me. These photos are pieces I have created while navigating my new obstacles.

Miggy is an artist based in New York City. In addition to her art practice, she teaches at Parsons School of Design. She holds a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from Columbia University.

It was on view at the Fulton Ferry State Park, Brooklyn, NY., City of Chattanooga, TN., and the City of Summit, NJ. David will be on exhibit at the Newport Beach Civic Center Sculpture Garden (2022-2024).
